Phil Curtis
I am a postdoctoral researcher in the department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences. I received my Ph.D. from Northwestern University and worked in the public school system as a speech-language pathologist with children aged 3 – 18. I am interested in how toddlers and preschoolers develop language skills and ways in which adults can support them in this process. My current researcher focuses on how sensory experiences, like touch and smell, can support children’s learning of new vocabulary.
